These felt artworks form part of an ongoing investigation into the tangible and intangible properties of non- objective (open) artworks. They position, philosophically and practically, the rational and the organic side by side, nominating aesthetic experience as a complex of mind/body engagement. Their shifting materials and spatial/temporal relationships demonstrate how artworks are not inanimate props but vital participants in the creation of meaning. Through these networks of relations, non-objective artworks contribute to our understanding of the contingent, complexity of the world.
